Understanding the dispensations, or administrations, in the Bible is essential to understanding the Bible itself. God has always related to the world as His household, and just as in any household, from time to time the rules change. If we understand the administrations, we can better understand God’s changing of the rules, which ones to obey and which have been made obsolete by newer rules.
